Fashion Week Women’s wear: 16th – 22nd September 2014
The co-founders of Juicy Couture, Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, celebrated this past early March 2014 the launch of their new California Cool label “Pam & Gela” and their new chic line “PAM & GELA. Y.E.S. Contemporary Sportswear on 2”. All support and hope we could soon see your clothing in the upcoming Milan Fashion Weeks.
John Richmond (one of our favourite designers who, within the rest, created the merchandise for the 2004 DD Reunion tour and who in 2009 during a Milan show put a DD dedicated music set). He’s still the most missed designer in town, but he’s a “persona non grata” by this Council. He and Gianni Versace were the kindest to us employees.
PUNK MASTERS BY PATTY PALAZZO: Patty is an awesome woman-designer on demand. She can create some cool drum logos (played by some awesome drummers): she’s been doing designs for new tees, she designed artworks for records and books.
Patty is hosted in this space as “special guest” in the behind the scenes of the Milan Fashion Weeks.
Mercedes, the main sponsor of the fashion shows of the National Chamber of Fashion gave up applying, so there are going to be only mega-screens in some locations in towns, to let people watch the shows held inside private ateliers. Notwithstanding, the organizers came and did their rants to us, ‘til the day before opening the yards for the screens placements.
Roberto Cavalli is going to pay this time a higher amount for his show, because the City Council cash is empty and are no longer able to help funding his fashion shows (but Cavalli is the main sponsor for the maintenance of the Ark of Peace monument. He’s a little furious. We’re really disappointed instead, by some decisions the Mayor has taken on fashion, against certain designers, over the years!
Armani, Krizia, Versace regularly arrived and submitted their applications.
The 2014 “Vogue Fashion Night out” was confirmed and it is scheduled for 16th September: everyone will have the chance to visit and to do some shopping in the fashion stores opened until late night, to enjoy some DJ sets.
The international fashion magazine “Vogue” is celebrating its 50th anniversary and the big parties are held in mid-September, with exhibits, DJ sets, cocktails and rendezvous and the “Vogue Fashion Night Out” this year is proudly having a more important meaning.
The “Lancôme” perfume event was a “case”: the organizers wanted to place a big sized fake perfume bottle in a main central Avenue of the town, close to the “Sephora” store, to celebrate the 50th birthday of the famous magazine. There is a rule: whoever wants to place whatever object intended to make ads can’t do it in the central areas. The perfume bottle was a “case” as it was viewed as an event, not an ad. Thanks to the “Lancôme” case”, in the future, every marketing company will now be able to turn the above mentioned prohibition around, occupying and invading the central areas with odd objects for promotional campaigns.
Luckily, the Vogue” related events kind of revitalized the days, because all looked so dull, grey, due to the austerity policies adopted also by most of the Italian companies in the Fashion field.
